A rare 'x% All Damage Multiplier' affix is not just one more generic damage stat - it adds its full value into the Summed Multiplier total of Cold, Fire, Holy, Physical, Poison, Lightning AND Shadow simultaneously, making it disproportionately strong for any build that deals more than one damage type (including most DoT/proc-heavy builds).
This is a genuine double-dip by design rather than a bug: a single roll contributes to several parallel Summed Multiplier categories at once, rather than being diluted across them. Builds that deal a single, pure element get comparatively less value from it than hybrid builds.
Per the Summed Multipliers rule, 'All Damage' sources are explicitly defined to add into every elemental category's sum, then each category's sum applies as that category's own Global Multiplier bucket for damage of that type.
Weight 'All Damage Multiplier' affixes higher than a same-numbered single-element 'Multiplier' affix whenever your kit deals more than one damage type (e.g. a Physical basic hit plus a Poison DoT, or a build using Elemental Overload-style off-element procs).
